NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Families with children of all ages are invited to attend a “Passport to Safety” event taking place from 10AM to 1PM on Sat., September 29 at Safety Town, 1320 Aurora Ave. This annual event is an opportunity to learn more about safety in a variety of situations in a fun, interactive way.
Participants will receive a “safety passport” upon arrival that allows them to visit the various safety destinations at this event, coordinated by the Illinois Crime Prevention Association and the Naperville Police and Fire Departments.
Children will receive valuable safety information and a stamp on their passport at each destination. Safety topics included are bike, fire, water, electric, pedestrian and many more. Additionally, participants will be able to meet McGruff the Crime Dog, Sparky the Fire Dog and Cell Phone Sally. There will also be a large display of fire and police vehicles from various agencies within the State of Illinois.
