Arranmore Center for the Arts’ Cabernet Cabaret: With A Twist
7:30PM / Come to Arranmore Farm (34 Rance Road, Oswego) for an evening of music under the stars. Arranmore Center for the Arts presents its final Cabernet Cabaret concert of the 2012 season: With A Twist. More than 20 performers ranging from pop and rock to jazz and funk will be featured. Gates open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $20 for ages 13 and older. Kids 12 and younger attend for free. Bring lawn chairs, folding tables, blankets, food and beverages. Magical Starlight Theatre presents “Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale!”
7:30PM / Eight performances run September 7-9 and 14-16. Friday performances: 7:30PM. Saturday performances:  2PM and 7:30PM. Sunday matinee performances: 2PM. Tickets are $8 each when purchased in advance and are $10 each when purchased on the Friday prior or at the door. Tickets are available in advance through the Naperville Park District at  www.napervilleparks.org or by phone at  (630) 848-5000. Live Music at CityGate Grille: Sam Savage
8:30 – 11:30PM / Sam Savage will play dance hits of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & today. CityGate Grille is located in the Calamos Investments Building at CityGate Centre, Rt. 59 and I88.  Reservations for dinner may be made by calling (630) 718-1010 or visiting www.citygategrille.com.

DuPage PADS 8th Annual Run For Home 10K and 5K Run, 5K Walk
8:00AM / Take a step to end homelessness in DuPage County! This 10K & 5K CARA certified course appeals to serious runners, casual joggers, walkers and families alike. Rain or shine, all are invited to stay for music, refreshments and prizes after the race. Race is at  703 W. Liberty St. in Wheaton.  Visit padsrun.org for more information.

Back to School Bash at Naperville Christian Church
10AM – 2PM / A free event for Naperville and surrounding communities!  There will be fun for all ages including: face painting, bounce houses and carnival games. NCC will also be offering free lunch and snacks for the entire event. Don’t miss out on a day of free fun for the entire family! The War of 1812: Mr. Madison’s War at Naper Settlement

7 – 8PM / See Terry Lynch portray President James Madison, the fourth President of the U.S. at Century Memorial Chapel. For all ages.
