Last Fling Family Fun Land hosts Disney ‘Meet & Greet’ at Naper Settlement

Families and friends were lined up at 8:30AM (and likely earlier) all along Aurora Avenue in anticipation of all the events and attractions that run from 10AM-5PM in Family Fun Land at Naper Settlement, just across the street from the Naperville Municipal Center.

The Radio Disney Crew will appear at 2PM, followed by the Disney Meet & Greet with Debby Ryan, star of “Jessie,” slated for 3PM.  (Note:  Organizers have posted that since there is no inside location for this event, it will go on rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather.  Only threats of  lightning will  cancel the public meet and greet. )

Plus, Duck Races are scheduled throughout the afternoon.

The Jaycees Last Fling Fun Land is sure to be the happening place for youngsters today.

Carnival Deal Day has been extended with unlimited rides from 10 AM – 4 PM for $20 today all along the Midway on Jackson Avenue beginning at Eagle Street.

The Midway is just a short walk from Naper Settlement along Eagle Street to Jackson Ave.

During Last Fling folks have a chance to talk to fire fighters and police officers, see their unique vehicles and to learn a little about emergency management, a high priority  in this community. Their displays are stationed along Eagle Street.

Dozens of volunteers, such as Jaycee David Byrne, already were at work before the activities opened and dozens of vendors are set for the day.

All the food and wine tasting competitions are scheduled from 11AM to 2PM.  Whether spaghetti at 11AM, wine tasting at noon, ice cream at 12:30PM, ribs at 1PM, or apple pie at 2PM, a contest to whet any appetite  is on the list of the day’s festivities.

In fact, already early on Sunday, ribs a-smoking for the  Rib Cook-off  are set up in the parking lot along Water Street. Don’t miss the judging a little off the beaten path of Last Fling.
