Kidz Kabaret is now registering youngsters for this season’s productions

Registration for Kidz Kabaret shows has started for the 2012-13 school year with opportunites for all ages. The non-audition program gives all participants a chance to shine at every grade level.

For Kindergarten – 4th Grade: “Santa’s Elves” An original Kidz Kabaret musical where “good” and “bad” elves compete to be the next Santa’s elf. Judging the competition is the CEO of Toyland: Donald Klump. Try not to be the elf who gets FIRED!! Shows are the first weekend in December.

For third – grade through High School:  Kidz Kabaret will be performing the holiday favorite: “Annie.” Younger actors will be a part of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage, while older actors will play the crooks Lily, Rooster, and Miss Hannigan or the professional assistant Grace and Daddy Warbucks. Shows are the second and third weekend in December.

High School:  Students will present “The Hobbit” Nov 16-18. This fantasty adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s book is the prequel to “The Lord of the Rings,” and brings us to the world of Bilbo Bilbo, a beloved Hobbit! This is an opportunity to create rich characters and to delve into the story before the movie comes out. Rehearsals begin September 8.

Founded in 2002 by Kandiss Hernandez, the Kidz Kabaret theater group offers youth in the community unparalleled theatrical and learning opportunities, open to all. Every youngster is welcomed, regardless of ability or prior experience, even special needs youth, and puts them “center stage.”

Audition for October Talent Show

Also, try out for the  Kidz Kabaret – Talent Show slated for three performances on Sun., Oct. 7 as a “Fun”raiser for Center Stage Theater.

Auditions will be held  10AM to 1PM, Sat., Sept. 8, and  2PM to 5PM, Sun., Sept. 9.  Audition fee is $25 per entertainer.

Performances are 1PM, 4PM & 7PM shows on Sun., Oct. 7.
