Special City Council Meeting and Council Workshop is slated for Aug. 27

The Naperville City Council will hold a Special City Council meeting and a City Council workshop on Monday, August 27 in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.

The Special City Council meeting will take place at 4:45PM. The brief  meeting agenda and meeting packet are now available to view at http://bit.ly/NM8VxF. The three items on the consent agenda include upcoming events that are listed here:

1. Pass the ordinance to establish temporary traffic controls and issue a special event permit for the North Central College Welcome Week Student Parade on September 5, 2012.

2. Approve the closure of the parking lot between Anderson’s Bookstore and the building occupied by Lou Malnati’s from 5AM to 3PM on Sept.  8, 2012 for a book signing event.

3. Pass the ordinance to establish temporary traffic controls and issue a special event permit for the Hometown Holidays Parade on December 1, 2012, and approve the placement of the Holiday Snowmen Sculptures.

Following the City Council meeting, the City Council workshop will take place at 5PM City Council members will discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Social Services Grant funding priorities at this workshop. The workshop agenda and workshop packet are available to view at http://bit.ly/TXO8KQ.
