In recent weeks while observing the progress of the North Central College Riverwalk Gateway Park adjacent to Fredenhagen Park and along the DuPage River, PN has had a chance to catch players on the Football, Men’s Soccer and Men’s Cross Country teams practicing at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
Classes at North Central College begin on Mon., Sept. 10. Yet, the football season began on Sept. 1.
This year PN will attempt to provide a schedule of Cardinals football games as well as links to other North Central College sports schedules and events, all opportunities to watch some top-notch athletes give it the old college try.

For starters, here’s a list of the Cardinals Football home games in September.
Sept. 1, Cardinal Football: The North Central College Cardinals will play their first home football game of the season vs. the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at 1PMSaturday, Sept. 1, at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St. Tickets are $6/adults and free to students with a valid ID and to children ages 3 and under.
Sept. 8, Cardinal Football Night Game: The North Central College Cardinals will play a nonconference home football game vs. the University of Redlands (Calif.) at 7PM Saturday, Sept. 8, at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St. Tickets are $6/adults and free to students with a valid ID and to children ages 3 and under.
Sept. 29, Cardinal Football Night Game: The North Central College Cardinals will play a conference football game vs. Elmhurst College at 6PM Saturday, Sept. 29, at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St. Tickets are $6/adults and free to students with a valid ID and to children ages 3 and under.

Save the date for Homecoming on Oct. 27! Cardinals Football vs. Illinois Wesleyan University, 2PM, Sat., Oct. 27.
Save the dates for Crosstown Classics! This fall, Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium again will host the Crosstown Classics at 7PM on Fridays in October. Football games featuring rival high schools in School Districts 203 and 204 will attract families and fans of all ages, too.
 Oct. 5, Waubonsie Valley High School vs. Neuqua Valley High School will play the Prairie Classic: 7:30PM, Fri., Oct. 5.
 Oct. 12, Naperville Central High School vs. Naperville North High School will play the Wes Spencer Classic: 7PM, Fri., Oct. 12
Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium is located within walking distance of downtown Naperville and more than 40 eateries.
