Magical Starlight Theatre gets set to open ‘Rapunzel’ on Sept. 7

-

Natalie Broschka, Victoria Newhuis, Brett Bush and the  cast of  “Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale” are in dress rehearsals for the Magical Starlight production of the brand new musical re-telling of the classic fairy tale that opens on Sept. 7.   The repetitious  line, “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair!” is sure to bring back childhood memories of plots that include  a witch and a handsome  prince in a collection of stories by the Brothers Grimm.

“This fast-paced and witty tale is a favorite for all ages,” noted publicist Jill Ludlam.

The  journey to the magic kingdom takes place during eight performances slated for September 7-9 and 14-16 at the Naperville Central High School Little Theatre.

Friday’s performances are at 7:30PM and Saturday performances will be at 2PM and 7:30PM. The Sunday matinee performance will be at 2PM.

Tickets are $8 each when purchased in advance and are $10 each when purchased on the Friday prior or at the door. Tickets are available in advance through the Naperville Park District at  www.napervilleparks.org or by phone at  (630) 848-5000.

The Naperville Central High School Little Theatre is located through Door #3, closest to Naper Settlement, 440 W. Aurora Ave.

In between scenes, make-up artist Jodi Bernicky transformed actor Stuart Vance into a dragon for his part in “Rapunzel!”
