City Council meets tonight, Planning and Zoning Commission meets tomorrow night

The City of Naperville  reminds residents and interested parties that the next Naperville City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 21 at 7PM in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. Residents can view the latest City Council agenda and corresponding information in Adobe Acrobat PDF format at www.bit.ly/S4VWvR.

Each meeting features a public forum session for questions or comments from the public on items not on the formal agenda. The forum is limited to 30 minutes and individual speakers are limited to three minutes. Persons who would like to address the City Council during the public forum must sign up at the City Clerk’s office before 7 p.m. on the day of the meeting and provide their name, address and topic of discussion. A list of public speaking guidelines, along with more information about citizen participation at the City Council meetings, is available at www.naperville.il.us/council.aspx.

Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 7PM Wed., Aug. 22

In addition, the next Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 22 at 7PM  in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. Residents can view the latest Planning and Zoning Commission agenda and corresponding information in Adobe Acrobat PDF format at www.bit.ly/NJYnzA.

Can’t attend? Watch from home or online

FYI: City Council meetings as well as Planning and Zoning Commission meetings can also be viewed live on the City’s website. This service, available at www.naperville.il.us/granicus.html, allows viewers to watch video and hear audio of  public meetings as they are happening. Once the meeting is complete, the video will be archived on the website for access at future times. A feature has been added to the service that allows users to share these videos through various social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter. To do so, a user should click “Share” at the bottom of the video viewer and follow the instructions provided.

Meetings are also broadcast live and re-broadcast on the City’s government access television station WCNC (Channel 6 – WOW, Channel 10 – Comcast and Channel 99 – AT&T). A full schedule of re-broadcast times is available at www.naperville.il.us/wcnc.aspx.
