September performances presented by Magical Starlight Theatre

Tickets for the Magical Starlight Theatre production of “Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale!” are now on sale at the Naperville Park District. Performances will take place the weekends of September 7-9 and 14-16 at Naperville Central High School’s Little Theatre, located at 440 West Aurora Ave. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 7:30PM and Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2PM. A sign language interpreter will be present at the 2PM show on Sun., Sept. 9.

“This production is a new, musical re-telling of the classic fairy tale about a beautiful princess with long hair, imprisoned in a tower,” said Director Kris Visher. “It’s a fast paced and witty show, designed to appeal to all ages.”

Magical Starlight Theatre was formed in September 1994 and is a program of The Naperville Park District. Magical Starlight strives to include community actors and production staff of all ages in its productions and provides a unique opportunity for adults and young people to work together as peers and learn from one another.

“The 26-member cast for Rapunzel includes multiple family members with ages ranging from fourth grade to adult,” said Visher. “Family members also can get involved behind the scenes.”

Advance tickets are $8 each and $10 at the door or if purchased on the Friday of the weekend performances. Ticket prices remain affordable, thanks to the dedicated volunteer staff of Magical Starlight Theatre and the generous sponsorship of Reebie Storage and Moving Company, the official storage company for the theatre.

Tickets for the September performances may be purchased online at www.napervilleparks.org or in person at the Park District Administration Building at 320 W. Jackson Ave. or at the South Maintenance Facility at 3415 Book Rd.
