Charity golf outing season hits half-way mark

-

Since golfers habitually line up for the St. Patrick’s Residence Golf Outing in May to set the local charity golf season in motion, the hot time in the old town has been better at keeping nonprofit coffers green than golf courses.

Many annual charity golf outings are scheduled during August, September and October, creating a six-month season for many good causes to raise funds.

The next golf outing on the August calendar is the Ronnie B. Classic, hosted by Cafe Buonaro’s. The after-golf dinner always attracts a lively bunch back at the restaurant, many who never play golf, in support of the Ron Buonauro Memorial Foundation.
