Pet Advice — End of the dog days

-

We are approaching the end of the dog days of August—a time to get back into our routines for the fall.

School will be starting soon and kids and parents will be busy night and day. The beginning of the school year is actually a great time to add a pet into the equation. Animals love routine. Just squeeze a new one in now.

Every day at Dog Patch is an adoption event. Where else can you bring the entire family to spend time with a shelter animal in a clean, comfortable setting?

We’re excited to announce that we have been approved to save animals directly from Chicago Animal Care and Control. This distinction is great news as we have already placed over 100 dogs since November 2011. The approval will allow us even greater access to more animals.

Please join us from 11AM to 4PM on Sat., August 25, for an in-store fundraiser to help retire the ever-growing vet bills for Annie’s Little Angels. They are a great rescue, saving so, so many lives.

P.S. UPDATE:  Shop at Dog Patch Pet & Feed on Aug. 25 and 10 percent of all sales will go to benefit Annie’s Little Angels Rescue. Meet Annie & friends at the store from 11AM to 4PM. Get giveaways, prizes and many special deals.
