Naperville CARES recently announced Maria McTarnaghan as the organization’s first ever Program Manager. She will be responsible for the management of all Naperville CARES programs including supervision of all client services, new program development, volunteer recruitment and training, as well as researching and maintaining relationships with all community resources.
McTarnaghan joins Naperville CARES with over 20 years of professional and volunteer experience. She holds a law degree from Duquesne Law School and has worked as a political fundraiser, manager for various political campaigns, and as a lobbyist and facilitator for Judicial Arbitration Mediation Services.
McTarnaghan has been a Naperville CARES volunteer since October 2010. She has also volunteered extensively with St. Michael Church and Parish School in Wheaton and as a child advocate for CASA DuPage.
In her new role as Program Manager, McTarnaghan will be responsible for administering all the activities necessary to develop, operate and evaluate all CARES programs consistent with the organization’s mission of helping local families in financial crisis meet their essential needs by providing emergency financial support and resources.
