Last month Virginia Platt served her last shift at Quigley’s Irish Pub. For more than a decade, the Naperville resident has been among the best, said owner Nancy Quigley recently as she flipped through photo albums, reminiscing about Platt’s dedication and team spirit that will “make her the perfect classroom teacher.”
Quigley remembered that when Virginia Daley first started, unmarried and without her teaching degree. Over the last 10.5 years, Platt tied the knot and today she and her husband, Bob, are parents of three children.
“I pulled out her file and confirmed that we never had one issue with Virginia,” said Quigley. “She’s been the perfect employee — part of the Quigley family. Customers loved her. During her last shift, her well-wishers filled the place.”
This month Platt heads to Washington Junior High School to begin her Naperville 7th grade teaching career.
