Little Friends now accepts BCBS for autism services

-

Little Friends has announced that the Little Friends Center for Autism is now accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO insurance.

The Center offers diagnostic evaluations, speech, occupational, and applied behavioral therapies, counseling and consultations for children and adults with autism.

Patti Boheme, Vice President of the LFCA, thinks that this program is a very big step in the right direction for families affected by autism.

“Families with BCBS insurance are now going to be able to get those evaluations, those therapies and those consultations that are going to help them get their children the services that they need to move forward,” said Boheme, noting all the benefits of early education for autistic children.

“What we do know is that the earlier children on the autism spectrum start receiving assistance the better the chance for a positive outcome.  It is our objective to have every family get exactly what they need to have their children go on to live the fullest possible lives that they can, and today we can offer real hope for these families.”
