Aurora ministry to open dental clinic for uninsured

-

Mission Possible, a downtown Aurora Christian ministry, is expanding its free clinic services for the uninsured.  Rick Guzman, Aurora Asst. Chief of Staff, helps celebrate the grand opening of the new dental operatory on Sat., July 21 at 63 South Broadway, Aurora.

Guzman will perform the ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:15PM.  The celebration will continue into the afternoon and evening with prizes, refreshments, tours, music, and the Mission Possible story.

Since opening in March, more than 100 medical visits have provided $20,000 of healthcare to patients without insurance.  Starting July 31, dental services to be offered will include exams, cleaning, sealants, extractions, and composite fillings.  Mission Possible also provides vision care for patients requiring corrective lenses, medical care for acute and chronic conditions not requiring emergent care, and orthopedic care for acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.

All services are provided free of charge.  Mission Possible serves all individuals who do not have health insurance and do not meet eligibility requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, disability, or other governmental health programs.  Patients are seen, by appointment, on a first-come first served basis.  Appointments for those who qualify can be made at 630-801-0086.

All services will be provided in a Christian environment with compassion, care, and without discrimination.  Licensed optometrists, doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, and other health care professionals volunteer their time at Mission Possible.  Facilities, equipment, and supplies have been generously donated through private and corporate support.

Saturday’s celebration includes ribbon cutting at 3:15pm.  The co-founders will share the Mission Possible story at 6:30PM.  The Gospel artist, whose art is on permanent display at Mission Possible, will relate his story at 7PM.  Music and praise will conclude the day’s celebration from 8-9PM.

Mission Possible is a privately funded independently governed 501(c) 3 dedicated to holistically meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Aurora in Christ’s name.  Donations to Mission Possible enable volunteers to provide free healthcare, recovery ministry, Bible training, and fellowship activities.
