Downtown Sidewalk Sales offer more than bargains

During the upcoming three days of Summer Sizzlin’ Sidewalk Days, folks can stroll the historic streets of downtown Naperville to discover what’s new here and there—and perhaps go home with an old-fashioned deal.

From table displays under the big tent in the parking lot at Dean’s Clothing to the tent around back at Anderson’s Bookshops, hundreds of sales welcome savvy shoppers from 9AM to dusk, Thurs., July 12, through Sat., July 14. Whether it’s a first-time experience or one that’s become a tradition for more than 40 years, sidewalk sales offer something for everyone in the good old summertime.

Main Street: Businesses participating along Main Street include Dean’s Clothing, Eddie Bauer, Two Bostons, Lil J’s Bohemia, Enchantments, Liam Brex, Heaven on Seven and Paper Source.

Washington Street: Venture along Washington Street to find  Karisma, Endure It! Life, Fitness Experts, BK Jewelry, Harry W. Yaseen Jewelers, Twisted Olive, Finishes, Inc JOE Naperville. Occasions of Naperville, Marbles the Brain Store, Bri’Zan Couture and Naperville Bank & Trust

Jefferson Avenue: In the heart of downtown along Jefferson Ave., visit Anderson’s Bookshop, Two Doors East, Roseland Draperies & Interiors, Elan Boutique, Design Inspirations, Christian Science Reading Room, WAR Chest Boutique,  Zazu Salon & Day Spa, Artistic Creations Salon, Baubles by Maclyn, Bella Caley, Tasting deVine Cellars, Adagio Teas, Cold Stone Creamery, Perle Jewelers, Bella Caley, BlackFinn American Saloon, Naperville Running Co., Haagen Dazs/Popcorn Palace, The Irish Way, SaraBoo Creek, Gotskind’s Shoes & Clothing and Ann Taylor, all set with deals.

Webster Street: Turn north at Webster to find Papier Girl, Purple Zebra Beads and Cindy Fields Designs.

Chicago Avenue: Stroll over to Jackson and Chicago to check out Kicks Shoes, Tango, It’s a Bling Thing, Williams Sonoma and  Meg & Me.

Main Street Promenade: Be sure to look inside the shops for ongoing summer bargains, too. From the array of merchants in the Main Street Promenade to boutiques tucked along the alleyways and on the second floor, sidewalk days bring opportunities to explore inside and out, creating summer memories for all ages.

Central Park: Make a full day of Thursday by heading to the weekly Naperville Municipal Band Concert at 7:30PM in Central Park.
