From 9AM to 1PM, Tues., July 24; and Wed., July 25, the Judd Kendall VFW will host the AARP Driver Safety class that can save drivers money on car insurance upon completion.
According to Mike Barbour, Veterans and Seniors Advocate for Naperville Township, AARP Driver Safety is recognizing the generosity teachers and school personnel this summer with an Educator Appreciation Promotion. The AARP Driver Safety Classroom Course costs just $5 in July and on yet-to-be announced dates in August. This promotion applies to anyone who has or is working in a school district, institution of higher learning, home school teachers and even Sunday school teachers. No proof of employment is necessary.
The AARP Driver Safety Classroom Course is the nation’s first and largest course designed for drivers 50 and older. Participants will learn proven safety strategies to help maintain confidence behind the wheel, plus, they may qualify for a discount on their car insurance, noted Barbour.
Individuals who do not qualify for the Educator Promotion may attend for $14 ($12 for AARP Members).
Classes also will be held from 9AM-1PM on Nov. 12 and 13 at the Judd Kendall VFW.
To register for the class, call (630) 420-9820. The Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 is located at 908 W. Jackson Ave.
