Naperville Police Officer is North America’s ‘Strongest Cop’

-

Naperville Police Officer Mike Geiger participated in the Can-Am Police/Fire Games held this year,  June 24-July 1,  at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. He was accompanied by Officer Frank Tonkovich.

Since the Can-Am Police-Fire Games began in 1977, the competition has been held every other year to promote physical fitness and fellowship among law enforcement, fire, emergency and other first responders. The week-long event showcases approximately 55 competitive sports from archery to volleyball.

Greiger captured a 1st place in the bench competition, outstanding lifter, and 2nd place in the power lifting competition. Coming back from an injury in 2011, he competed very well and represented Naperville Police Department proudly, according to Sergeant Juliet Fabbri.

“Mike is one of the nicest guys I know, always ready with a laugh, and a great role model for kids,” said Naperville Police Sergeant Tim Jordan.
