Summer author series invites readers to Anderson’s Bookshops

-

Anderson’s Bookshops have launched a new summer series author program for adult readers.  Give Me Summer!  Give Me Authors!  invites readers to attend a total of six author events, get their bookmark punched at each program, and then receive a free tee-shirt.

The program got underway recently and customers have already begun collecting punches by attending events with David Ellis, Christopher Coake, Gillian Flynn, Bryan Gruley, Dorothea Benton Frank, and Jennifer Close.

Upcoming authors include Chris Cleave, Karin Slaughter, Ridley Pearson, Jodi Picoult, James Rollins, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Robert Goolrick, Emily Giffin, Debbie Macomber, Jonathan Tropper.

Readers can participate at Anderson’s Bookshop locations and pick up an adult summer reading bookmark.  Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville is located at 123 W. Jefferson Ave. 630-355-2665, and Anderson’s Bookshop in Downers Grove is at 5112 Main St. 630-963-2665. Each bookmark includes the qualifying author events.

To complete the summer challenge, adults need to attend six events total.  One punch will be earned for each event.  Once six special punches are collected, the completed bookmark may be traded for a free tee-shirt.

Priority numbers to reserve your place in the booksigning line for Anderson’s events are available at Anderson’s with the purchase of the authors’ new books.

Readers may be asked to take the program’s Summer Reading Pledge:

I pledge to seize these epic events,

in my favorite independent bookstore, Anderson’s Bookshop. And to seize the SUMMER (for it is awesome),

One summer. Full of authors.

With liberty and good reads for all!
