Local volunteer is recognized for service at Ribfest and more

-

Joy Vastola was surprised by the Exchange Club of Naperville recently when she learned she had received the Lincolnland District Contributing Service Award.   First announced at the recent Lincolnland Ccnvention, Vastola was recognized  based on her involvement in the Exchange Club of Naperville and other organizations in the community and feted during the Ribfest Pre-Party in Knoch Park Thursday evening.

In addition to Exchange Club initiatives including Ribfest, Vastola actively volunteers  with the Jaycees, Judd Kendall VFW, Naper Settlement, West Suburban Irish, Operation Support Our Troops, Operation Welcome You Home, her church and the Carol Stream Fire District.

FYI: The Lincolnland District Contributing Service Award recognizes a non-Exchangite who has contributed to the success of the Exchange Club movement. Their overall effectiveness in making their community, state and nation a better place to live is the main determining factor.

“Congratulations Joy and thanks for all your support of our club and community,” said Sandy Southworth, Exchange Club Awards Committee Chairman.
