The Naperville Exchange Club, City of Naperville staff, and Naperville Park District staff have been working diligently on accessibility features for Ribfest 2012. Through their hard work and collaboration, all citizens, especially those living with a disability, or those that have a family member living with a disability, will have full and equal access to enjoy this year’s extravaganza!
Please note some of this year’s accommodations:
• Accessible viewing areas will be available at the main stage, Jumbotron viewing area and Show Wagon stage.
• A sign language interpreter will be on stage at the North Stage for each main act evening performance. If you are in need of a sign language interpreter for any other Ribfest performance, this request must be made to the Exchange Club at least 72 hours in advance of that performance. The number to call will be posted on the Ribfest website: www.Ribfest.net.
• Accessible parking will be available at Naperville Central High School. This lot may be accessed from West Street at Hillside. A disability license plate or placard is required for entry. When this lot is full, all vehicles will be directed to the All Saints Academy accessible parking lot. This larger accessible parking area will be located at All Saints Academy on Aurora Avenue between West Street and River Road. An accessible shuttle bus will provide free rides from this lot to the Ribfest grounds.
Please enjoy this year’s Ribfest, which takes place June 29, 2012 thru July 3, 2012 at Naperville’s Knoch Park.
And remember that the Naperville Exchange Club, with proceeds from Ribfest, provides funding to many local service organizations that work toward the same goal – to end child abuse and domestic violence.
