A Naperville Gardener — please come to the flower show, June 29-30!

-

The Naperville Garden Club is hosting a standard flower show from 1-5PM on Fri., June 29. and 9AM to 1PM on Sat., June 30. This free event is being held at the Naperville Municipal Center on Eagle Street.

This show is titled Connections.  The horticulture section shows that everything in nature is connected.  The design section reflects how people are connected and the special exhibits section features the Naperville Garden Club’s connections to the community.

It’s always interesting to see the horticultural entries.  You will see examples of flowers, foliage, fruits, vegetables and nuts.  Also competing for ribbons are branches from trees and shrubs, annuals, perennials, herbs and houseplants.  You will be inspired to grow something you haven’t tried before, once you see that it can be done!

The design section features floral designs that are always spectacular.  The Naperville Garden Club invites professional designers to some of our meetings and the flower show is our time to show what we have learned.

The Naperville Garden Club is a member of District II, Garden Clubs of Illinois, Inc., Central Region and National Garden Clubs, Inc.  Our membership in these organizations encourages our club to make a difference in our community, our state, our country and the world.  We share ideas about conservation, environmental concerns, membership, programs, community projects and education.

Members of the Naperville Garden Club will be present during the flower show.  We look forward to meeting you and encouraging your interest in horticulture and floral design.  We always welcome new members and hope you will come to our flower show to find out what being in a garden club means.
