Three-and-a-half minute spree will help Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry
At 8:30AM on Monday, June 11, Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel will go on a three-and-a-half minute shopping spree through the dairy section of Jewel-Osco, 1227 Naper Blvd., to benefit Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry.
Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry has served the Naperville community since 1984 and provides food and other essentials to families in need each month and connects them with resources to improve their lives. Jewel-Osco is organizing the shopping spree event as part of National Dairy Month, and Jewel-Osco is generously donating the food.

Editor’s Related Note: June is National Hunger Awareness Month. On Flag Day, June 14, Loaves and Fishes will present its 5th annual Day Without Hunger event with the theme “Freedom From Hunger.” The day will begin at 7:30AM with a special flag display dedication featuring a salute to our country and veterans. The Exchange Club of Naperville will confer its So Proudly We Hail award to mark the occasion. A prayer breakfast will follow immediately at 8AM. Music and activities are scheduled from Noon to 5PM. A FREE community cookout runs from noon to 7PM.
