Centennial Beach is open and ready for a capacity crowd of 2,000 swimmers, sunbathers, volleyball players and sandcastle builders on this glorious day with temperatures headed toward the high 80s. The 5-day forecast is for clear skies with highs toward 90 degrees and a chance of showers on Monday.
Remind the youngsters in your life to be sure to take regular breaks from the sun and to drink plenty of liquids, preferably water.
