-

Though the SheROX Triathlon is slated to take off at 7AM on Sun., June 10, a hub of activity is happening at Naper Settlement today.  Visitors are taking in information at sponsored Expo booths as Sunday’s competitors arrive to pick up their race packets. Packet pick-up ends at 4PM, Sat., June 9.

The City of Naperville reminds residents and interested parties of the upcoming street closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect throughout the SheROX Triathlon. Participants and volunteers are expected to begin arriving near Centennial Beach at 5AM Sunday.

The triathlon starts and ends at Centennial Beach near downtown Naperville, with the event consisting of a .5-mile swim, 14.2-mile bike and 3.1-mile run. A color-coded map of the race route, times and locations of street closures, parking restrictions and tow-away zones is available at www.naperville.il.us/walkrun.aspx.

The triathlon route streets will be closed beginning at approximately 6AM and remain closed until approximately 11:30AM Roads will be opened as soon as the event participants clear the roadways.

The race route only will be a no parking, tow zone from 5AM to noon on that day and notice will be posted accordingly. The streets of the race route are re-opened to vehicular traffic and the no parking, tow zone signs removed as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it is appropriate based on public safety.
