Pizzeria NEO, billed as an authentic pizzeria, opened at 5PM Mon., June 4, in downtown Naperville.
Serving Neopolitan-style pizza, Pizzeria Neo takes an authentic, old-fashioned Italian approach to a staple many American families include on the dinner menu at least once a week.
Diners will find wood-grilled pizza, bruschetta, antipasti and insalate as well as a full bar with 32 wine choices by the glass ($7-$16) and signature cocktails in a classy, casual setting. After a soft opening that began Thurs., May 31, owner Tony Alfonso is ready for patrons to enjoy drinks, pizza and good conversation.
Though the spacious eatery accommodates about 100 diners, the seating layout is arranged to quickly meet the needs of all different sized parties.
PN’s first experience on opening day found the servers were knowledgeable about the menu and beverage lists. We asked for and followed their recommendations, enjoying Neopolitan-style thin-crust pizza from both columns of the menu, one topped with fresh vegetables and the other with tomatoes and “four meats.” We overheard another patron praising the pizza for tasting “just like what they’d enjoyed on a recent tour of Italy.”
Pizzeria NEO, open at 5PM daily, is located in Washington Corners at 47 E. Chicago Ave. For more information, call (630) 922-8200.
