Summer performances at the Millennium Carillon

2012 recital series to feature local and international artists

Naperville Assistant Carillonneur Christine Power will open the 2012 Carillon Recital Series at 7PM on Tues., June 5 at the Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower at 210 Aurora Road at the base of Rotary Hill in Naperville.

This year’s schedule includes performers from the Netherlands, Poland, and Canada, and from U.S. locations, including Madison, Connecticut; Provo, Utah; Washington, D.C.; and Lawrence, Kansas.

These free performances are held rain or shine (unless there is lightning) and audiences are welcome to picnic on the lawn. Post-recital Moonlight Carillon Tours are available from 8 to 9PM

There will be a recital on Wed., July 4 at 3PM and not on Tues., July 3, as the Naperville Independence Day fireworks are scheduled for 9:30PM on July 3 this year. The top of the Carillon will be open for a spectacular view of the July 3 fireworks. Seats are available only for the four lucky winners of the Win a Trip to the Top raffle. Raffle tickets may be purchased online at http://naperville-carillon.org/win-a-trip-to-the-top/ or at the Carillon Visitor Center, located at 455 Aurora Ave. Visitor Center hours of operation are from 10AM. and 4:00PM on Fridays and Saturdays and from noon to 6PM on Sundays.

In addition to the Tuesday evening concerts, Naperville carillonneurs play recitals weekly throughout the year at 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and at 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
