75th Street duct bank work begins second week of June

-

Work Will Upgrade Existing Electrical Duct Banks in the Area

Starting the second week of June, work will begin along 75th Street from approximately one-half mile west of Naper Boulevard to Ranchview Drive on electrical duct banks located in that area.

Work is anticipated to begin on Tues., June 12 and continue for six months. The work will include installation of electrical duct bank conduit, manholes and more. This project allows the Department of Public Utilities-Electric to upgrade existing electrical facilities located in that area. Work will occur between 7AM to 4PM on weekdays.

Shoulder closures along 75th Street in the project area will occur on a rolling basis as work moves from west to east, and delays are possible during the morning hours due to work being performed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route to avoid delays. The City will take necessary steps to minimize any inconvenience to residents, motorists, businesses and others. Message boards will be in place the week prior to work beginning to alert motorists to the project.
