Family Concert Series wraps up at Grace Church

-

The final two performances of the Family Concert Series at Grace United Methodist Church are scheduled in June.

At 2PM on Sunday, June 3, Grace hosts a performance by master violinist Bill Murk, who will play sacred, contemporary and hymn arrangements in an inspiring afternoon concert that also features his daughter, Heather, an award-winning contemporary Christian singer.  Find out more about the Murks and their miraculous story of hope in the face of tragedy at myrrh.biz. Proceeds benefit Grace Youth Summer Missions.

In its final program of the season, the Family Concert Series welcomes back the critically acclaimed chamber phenom Fifth House Ensemble (www.fifth-house.com), presenting “Black Violet: Act One” at 7:30PM on Saturday, June 23. The musical, multi-media journey travels through 17th century London, when Lord Mayor has declared black cats the cause of the Plague that is decimating the populace, and Violet, a black housecat, finds herself on the streets for the first time in her life.

Tickets to each performance are $18 adults/$13 seniors 65+/$7.50 students, available at www.peopleofgrace.org/concerts or in the church office.

Grace Church is located at 300 E. Gartner Rd. For more information, contact Dan Wagner at (630) 355-1748, ext. 232, or andante147@gmail.com.
