Centennial Beach parking lot to close for maintenance

Alternate parking and detour available to access the Riverwalk and Centennial ball field

During the week of May 14 the internal roadway leading from Jackson Avenue to the Centennial Beach parking lots, Studio One, and the Jaycees Playground/Grand Pavilion area will be closed for maintenance.

Patrons may access Studio One, Centennial Park baseball field, and the parking area near the Jaycees Playground/Grand Pavilion area via a detour from West Jackson Avenue through the VFW parking lot. Naperville Central High School students with parking permits may use parking near the Jaycees playground and Grand Pavilion.

The accompanying map shows the detour route along Jackson Avenue through the VFW to the Grand Pavilion parking area.

The maintenance is weather dependent, but is planned to be complete prior to the opening of Centennial Beach. The Beach will open on Sat., May 26 at 11:00 a.m. for the season. On Memorial Day, which is Monday, May 28, patrons may enjoy free admission to the Beach to kick off the 2012 summer season.
