Positively Naperville is now in Google News

-

Readers can now find all the latest from PN in Google News

Positively Naperville is proud to announce inclusion in Google News.  PN submitted its website to the Google News team in April and received confirmation of inclusion on Tuesday, May 1.  Stories, pictures, events and all the latest local lore will begin to populate the Google News Feed over the next several days.

The submission process for Positively Naperville was an exciting education.   PN’s web content has been categorized to meet Google News standards and unlike the monthly print version, content, stories, events and pictures are now updated daily.

Many search terms that have brought readers to PN’s website over the years have been cleared from the web.  The news feed will begin to repopulate Positively Naperville all over the web in the upcoming weeks. To see what the news feed sitemap looks like click here.  (It looks like a bunch of random text.)  PN’s new website has been designed on WordPress and is proud to be open source!

Google News is an independent computer generated news site that ranks headlines on relevance, location, user preference, and timeliness.  It allows users to personalize which type of news they would like to receive and subscribe to feeds on specific topics and search terms. Readers can subscribe to feeds via smartphones, tablets, email or customize it on their homepage.

To access the news feed, go to the Google homepage at www.google.com, type Naperville in the search area and click on the News button.  All the latest Naperville news will appear.

Thanks readers for your continued support and check back frequently for all the latest updates from around town.

PN Ombudsman
An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
