The DuPage County Hounds is a brand new baseball team that will be swinging into its Inaugural Season on June 1, 2012 at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex.
The fresh outdoor experience with this new baseball team will feature fan favorites including in-game promotions, post-game run the bases, autographs from players, a kid’s zone, full concession stand including Miller Lite products, and free parking.
Players from this team are all collegiate athletes that are looking to get drafted by Major League Baseball teams. Fans who attend a game during the summer will most likely see a MLB Scout looking for potential talent.
The DuPage County Hounds is one of four new expansion teams for the 2012 season in the Midwest Collegiate League. Owners of the DuPage County Hounds also own the Rockford Foresters, who play at the former home of the Rockford Cubs (former affiliate of the Chicago Cubs). White Sox slugger Ron Kittle owns a team in the league, which is also an expansion team for the 2012 season (Northwest Indiana Oilmen). Former 1st base coach for the Chicago Cubs in 2011 is one of the coaches of the Will County CrackerJacks, who will be at the Hounds on June 2, June 8, June 10, and June 24.
