Naperville Woman’s Club Accepts 16 New Members

-

The Naperville Woman’s Club recently completed a very successful membership drive.  In the club’s 2011-2012 year ending April 30, 16 new members were accepted.  Membership initiatives included member interest forms distributed at the Fine Art Fair last summer and a drawing at the fall fashion show for a “first-year free” membership.

An Open House was also held in September for potential members to come to the clubhouse and learn more about the group.

NWC President Julie Cunningham gives much of the credit for the membership increase to Vice President for Membership, Glessna Coisson.

“Through Glessna’s efforts and those of her committee, potential members identified at the art fair and fashion show were personally contacted and invited to attend a meeting. Our members also scouted their own networks for prospects,”  wrote Cunningham.

Both new and current members find a lot to like at the Naperville Woman’s Club.  With its primary focus being support of the arts, education and community service, members find a choice of many opportunities to network, make friends, and develop teamwork and management skills by participating in the club’s activities.

PN Ombudsman
An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
