Sullivan’s Steakhouse in downtown Naperville was the place to be Wednesday night, where pairs of local business and media personalities showed their mixology mastery in support of Arranmore Center for the Arts (ACA), a local non-profit bringing unique arts programming to the suburbs. All tips from 5:30pm-9:30pm plus a percentage of proceeds will be given to ACA. The tips alone totaled nearly $4,000.

“I was really blown away by how many people came out to support us,” says Shannon Greene Robb, ACA founder and president. “It makes me really excited about our upcoming events.”

The fundraiser kicked off ACA’s 2012 season of events, which includes three Cabernet Cabaret concerts slated to be held on June 9, July 14 and September 7. Cabernet Cabaret features some of the region’s best music and dance live on the lawn at Arranmore Farm in nearby Oswego, Illinois.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
