Annual Teen Pizza Taste-Off

Teens Voted for Best Pizza in Naperville during NPL Third Annual Pizza Taste-Off!

They came, they tasted and they voted for the Best Pizza in Naperville on March 29 during the Naperville Public Library Third Annual Pizza Taste Off!

A total of 120 teens  tasted pizzas from 12 different pizzerias and awarded more than one “Best,” including Best Crust, Best Sauce, Best Appearance and Cheesiest.

The Best Overall Pizzas were a third-place tie among Giordano’s, Lou Malnati’s, Adamo’s and Uncle Pete’s; a second place winner,  Nancy’s Pizza; and the best overall winner was Jet’s Pizza.  This is the first year they’ve won the overall best title.

“It was fun to see how excited the teens were to taste the different pizzas! They brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm to this unique event,” explains Kiersten Doucette, Adult Services Librarian at Nichols Library. Everyone had a blast!”

Other category winners in first, second and third order were Best Crust: Jet’s Pizza, Adamo’s Pizza and a third-place tie between Giordano’s and Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria. Best Sauce: Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria,,Uncle Pete’s and Aurelio’s Pizza. Cheesiest: First-place tie between Connie’s Pizza and Jet’s Pizza, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria and John & Eddie’s Pizza.

 Best Appearance: Jet’s Pizza, Nancy’s Pizza and Adamo’s Pizza and Catering.

Organizers expressed many thanks to pizza sponsors who provided the samples in full boxes that turned into empty ones. Thanks, Aurelio’s Pizza, Connie’s Pizza, Little Sicilian Pizza, Giordano’s, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Uncle Peter’s Pizza, Nancy’s Pizza, Taylor St. Pizza, Rosati’s Pizza, John & Eddie’s Pizza, Jet’s Pizza and Adamo’s Pizza and Catering.
