That said, Naperville Trolley and Tours, Casey’s Foods, Farmers Market and annual Independence Day Fireworks are ongoing. Exchange Club of Naperville Ribfest, no longer held at Knoch Park, held its fundraising festival on Father’s Day weekend in Wheaton.

Naperville Salute, hosted by Naperville Responds for Veterans, is now an Independence Day weekend family-friendly community event held at Rotary Hill along the Riverwalk. Watch for details of the 2nd Annual Naperville Salute slated for July 1-4, 2022.

Fireworks are now held at the Frontier Sports Complex. For 2022, Naperville fireworks begin at 9:30PM Sun., July 3.

Thursday

Historic Trolley Tour of Naperville – 11AM | $5-$10
Jackson Ave. & Eagle St. Naperville, IL 60563
Learn about old Naperville, and see the new Naperville! This one-hour Historic Tour of Naperville blends the past with the present, highlights Naperville’s growth, and includes some fun stories! Due to the Fourth of July holiday, this tour only is being given on this Thursday, July 3rd. (Tours are normally every Friday during June, July, and August) Please arrive at 10:50am. No strollers. $10 for Adults, $5 for Children ages 4-17. All public tours start and end at the ‘Trolley Stop’ on Jackson Avenue at Eagle Street. Walk on’s available if space permits.

Naperville Exchange Club’s Ribfest – noon to 10PM | $10
The annual festival runs daily through Sunday, July 6 and features ribs, BBQ and music in Knoch Park along West St., just south of Naperville Central High School.  For complete info and band schedules, visit PN’s Ribfest Page.

Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival – noon | $7

The Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival Committee is pleased to announce the dates July 3 – 6 for this popular hot air balloon festival. This year’s visitors to the festival can expect daily launches of hot air balloons and balloon glows, carnival, a large craft fair, live music, three nights of fireworks, food court, plus more.  INFO: eyestotheskies.org.

Firecracker 5K Run/Walk – 8AM | $25-$30 
Warrenville Park District Recreation Center – 3S260 Warren Ave. Warrenville, IL 60555
Join the Warrenville Park District for the Annual Firecracker 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ 50- and 100-Yard Dashes on July 4 Join your fellow runners and walkers in this annual race on the Fourth of July. The race starts out in front of the Warrenville Park District’s Rec Center at 8AM; the race is run on USATF Certified Course IL-09121-JW. Chip timing is provided. Kids can participate in a 50- or 100-yard dash (registration is required). Awards are announced the day of the race. A portion of all proceeds benefit the Warrenville Park District Scholarship Program, which provides funds to children in need so they can participate in park district programs and events. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Register in advance at signmeup.com, www.warrenvilleparks.org, in person at the Registration Office, fax your entry to 630.393.7278; or sign up the day of the race from 6:30-7:30AM. The first 400 registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt and goody bag.

Ribfest Fireworks – 9:30PM

Saturday

Naperville Farmers’ Market – 7AM
Naperville Farmers Market – Fifth Avenue Station, 200 E. Fifth Ave., Naperville, IL 60540
Beginning the first Saturday in June through the last Saturday in October, the Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 7AM to noon at the Fifth Avenue Station parking lot.

Travel America Summer Festival – 10AM 
The Morton Arboretum – 4100 Illinois Route 53 Lisle, IL 60532
This Independence Day weekend, travel the diverse regions of the United States through foods, live music, games, tram tours of the Arboretum’s tree collections, and more. From 10AM to 4PM Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, families can listen to live bluegrass music, feast on Tex-Mex food, take part in old-school sack races and watch Native American dancing. The festival is free with general admission. Free with general admission

Casey’s Fires up the Grill – 11AM

Lunch is served fresh off the grill each Saturday and Sunday from 11AM 2PM at Casey’s Foods. Choose from a variety of options, including burgers, brats, tacos or our weekly special. German Church Services – 11:30AM
St. John United Church of Christ – 1190 Olesen Drive Naperville, IL 60540
Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ in Naperville at 11:30AM on Sunday, July 6. The service will be led by Pastor Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive. Services in the German language are held on the first Sunday of each month and will continue on August 3 and September 7. For more information call 630.355.5208.
