Naperville Election Central & Voter's Guide
We repeat: Candidates' Web sites linked to this page upon request.

PN will not endorse candidates running for election.  We think our readers will select the best qualified candidates by doing a little research. We do, however, promote and endorse free enterprise,  small independent businesses (the nation's biggest job creator) and individual liberty as we pray for peace.

Daily Herald offers daily coverage of elections in all its editions. Here's a guide to its Election 2012.  Click on "Naperville." Near the top center, see "Election Headlines." The list of stories is beginning to grow.

Reminder! Educated voters are necessary in every election!
Become educated. It's your civic duty.

Editor's note: We also like the idea of decodification.  For every new law proposed, at least five old laws should be considered for relavancy & proposed for repeal.

We urge every individual to read the U.S. Constitution, its Preamble and its amendments; to study the ideals of our founding fathers and to learn our nation's history. It takes about an hour to read the historic document.

Think for liberty. Think about all the sacrifices that have been made to protect our freedom. Think that America would not be America if it did not have freedom of speech and all its other cherished freedoms protected by the U.S. Constitution.

Thank you for your time to be an educated voter and for interest in this community, one of the exceptional cities in this great nation.

God Bless America!

Another reason to watch government at all levels and vote!
Be money smart. Give a lesson about spending to a youngster in your life!

The U.S. National Debt topped
$13,050,826,460,886.97
the week of June 7, 2010.
(Though the debt passed $14 Trillion in January 2011and was more than $15 Trillion in January 2012for the sake of this illustration, we'll use the trillions from the
June 7, 2010, date.)

Yes, that's TRILLIONS!  How much is a trillion?

First, consider one millionit's a little easier to comprehend.

Let's say you started counting from one to one million right now... You didn't stop to eat or sleep and you allowed 2 seconds for every number.  It would take you from right now until 23 days from now just to get to one million.

Above, the red six (6) marks the spot where you'd be after nearly 140 days and you've only just begun to get to 10 million.

Again, when we first wrote this exercise, it was June 7, 2010, and we asked how many days until the 2010 General Election on Nov. 2?

Using the June 7, 2010, it was about 140 days about equal to time it takes to count nonstop to 6 millionuntil Election Day 2010.

Keep in mind that in between millions and trillions are billions!

Are you registered to vote? Wherever you live in this great nation and whatever your opinion about the National Debt, be sure to register to vote AND become educated about basic economics. That said, if you choose not to become educated about the candidates or the issues, it's OK to stay home on Election Day.

P.S. Using a similar formula and pronouncing every syllable of every number, it would take 190,259 years to count from one to one trillion if you begin right now. Now multiply by 15-plus...and see how far you can count.

What is "bullet voting"?
Bullet voting is a tactic in which the voter selects only preferred candidates, despite the option to mark the ballot for several other candidates.

For instance, if five candidates are running for three seats, a voter may opt to vote for one candidate, even though he/she has the option to vote for "up to three." The three hopefuls who receive the most votes will be elected.

A bullet voter might choose only one candidate among a field of three or four hopefuls. Bullet voting likely happens most often when voters are unfamiliar with all the candidates and have not been able to make clear choices.

It is our goal to link enough candidate information on this Web page to send educated voters to the polls.
