Thanks to the story I saw in your August issue, I recently attended the
Naperville Astronomical Association's Wednesday night open house with my family. What a great experience! My 10 and 11-year-old (as well as myself) learned about and viewed all kinds of astronomical wonders.
Keep up the good work informing our community. Congratulations on your first anniversary!
---Grant Cowen
It is just like my grandmother use to say, it is all about one's
perspective. If you look at the good, your life will be good. I think this
is why I am so drawn to picking up Positively Naperville. I share its
perspective. Life in this town is good, and I enjoy seeing that written
about and shared throughout the community. There is a celebrate
here, even when their isn't a parade.
--- Melissa L. Wilke
I just got hold of a "Positively Naperville" and I was positively thrilled
with the coverage.
---Thanks again. Cathi

Naperville Riverwalk
Autumn leaves us awed with wonder.
Trees once green blush red and gold.
Darkness draws its curtain early.
Balmy nights turn frosty cold.
Mystery abounds along the Riverwalk.
In this season God we see.
Autumn leaves us awed with wonder.
Fields of grain reach toward the sky.
Orchards boast a fruitful harvest.
Grateful farmers kneel and sigh...
"We are blest indeed with bounty."
In this season God we see.
Autumn leaves us awed with wonder.
Squirrels in search of nuts run free.
Southbound geese fly in formation.
Brilliant sunsets silently
crown creation's King with beauty.
In this season God we see.

What a remarkable atmoshere in which to have been raised!....It's through
the vision in creating POSITIVELY NAPERVILLE that our small town atmosphere
and attitude is being and must be preserved...despite its upscale
growth
---Dick Kuhn
How wonderful for you to do that for us (Young Actors Ensemble on Nov.

very helpful and attractive.

Your website just keeps getting better and better. I hear more and more good
things about Positively Naperville...My father, who just endured a major
surgery, really enjoyed the November issue, especially since he missed his
usual veteran day activities in the local school system. He commented on how
nice it was to be recognized several times. Thank you for bringing him some
comfort during a difficult time.
---Veronica Porter
My brothers and sister all enjoyed the opportunity to discuss by phone and/or
email our fond recollections of our great childhood growing up in Naperville.
I am also sending you this email to relate to you that I noticed Sue Wehrli's
name on the Positively Naperville committee. Sue was a grade school
classmate at SSPP. I remember her as a wonderful, fun-loving person from a
great family. I have always been happy for the business success she has had
over the years and the positive influence she has had on her community.
----Chuck Spinner, Parma Heights, Ohio
This website is fabulous. It is, I'm sure the result of a tremendous amount

is can you make any money at it?

Enjoyed PN today. I just got back from cool Florida. I especially
enjoyed the story on Ellsworth School. My mother's father, my grandpa Goodge
was on the school board when Ellsworth was built and according to my mother,
he layed the first three bricks. My mother went to Ellsworth, I went there
as did my three children. I was in first grade when the famous train wreck
occured in April of '46.

After reading the story on Flat Stanley, we wanted to let you know about the
adventures of Griffin's Flat Stanley. Last year, Griffin's Flat Stanley
traveled to Asia with an uncle. Flat Stanley was able to help Uncle Randy
fly the plane! It was an awesome trip. Uncle Randy also had Flat Stanley on
the beaches of Hawaii. There are pictures to boot!

about the pics.
Hope to see you soon!

I have to tell you that I had a chance to read "Positively
Naperville" this weekend in some peace and quiet. You have come a long
way with your idea. That paper is now a great source of information and
has matured and grown into something many people now look forward to
reading on a regular basis. You have done a marvelous job with taking an
idea and turning it into reality.

know how I can help "spread the word."

Thanks you SO MUCH for the nice article on p. 22 of the July issue of
PositivelyNaperville. We are happy that the article was embedded in a number of
distinguished companies, club and services organizations.
We are happy to report that the two Campers' Concert in that two Friday
evenings will be held in the ABBEY which provides divine feelings and holiness plus
a great sound. We're all very excited about it.
Please help us find more good publicity such as the ones you gave us.
With deep appreciation,
Linda Yu
What a tremendous joy it was to see our team photo in your July issue. The
photo was taken in front of the Sweden house, currently Mid-America Bank at
Ogden & Washington where we gathered in 1973, to celebrate our ten year reunion.
Wow! Forty years later, I didn't think any one would remember! The article
stirred very fond memories of a part of my life that is frozen in time, the joy
and sorrow is still there as if it happened yesterday. I still have photos
somewhere if you would be interested? Thanks for the recognition and letting us
again feel the pride of being "Naperville Champs" for a day.
Sincerely,
Jim Shoger
Dear Positively Naperville,
I am very excited about an article in your latest newspaper, July 2003. The
"Kids Matter Salutes Pat Pradel" struck a happy chord with me. I, too, was an
indirect recipient of Pat's positive message a few months back. My car
stopped and would not restart at a stop light along Aurora Road. I was totally
frustrated and anxious because the road made a bend behind my car and I was
concerned about causing an accident.
Just then a large red truck came up behind me and a young lady came out of
the truck. She said she could help by first getting me off that road and down
into an apartment complex area. She then jump-started my ailing car. The
kindness did not stop at this one gesture. It seems my car would not keep going
and would need at least three more jump-starts before I could get my vehicle
home.
All the time this Good Samaritan kept following me, starting my car and
calming my frazzled nerves. We had casual conversation and exchanged first names.
She was Carol and she said her father was the Mayor of Naperville. I tried
to repay her for all her efforts, but she would not accept the money. Her
comment was for me to "help someone else." I had forgotten Carol's name until I
saw the photo in your paper.
Could you please send this note to Mr. and Mrs. Pradel, and let them know how
their daughter is continuing the good work they have done? I am very
thankful for all the help and kindness I received from their daughter.
