11th Annual Spring for a Cure – a Red Tie Event – 7PM | $150

The 11th Annual Spring for a Cure ~ A Red Tie Event ~ will be held on Friday, April 13th at 7PM at The Pavilion at Meson Sabika in Naperville. This special evening will feature live music, silent and live auction, as well as a premium open bar and a filet and lobster dinner. Tickets are $150 per person, tables of 10 are $1250. Prizes will be awarded for best male and female ‘Red Tie’. All ticket and auction sales will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Learn about the services and resources available to job seekers at the Community Career Center including one-on-one appointments with volunteer career coaches covering career exploration, job search strategy, networking, resume review, interviewing, and LinkedIn. In addition, the CCC offers job search related workshops, networking and accountability groups, use of workstations and support from the staff and career coaches. Membership is nominal for a one-year period. Free to all job seekers / No need to RSVP.

Naperville Exchange Club One Nation Under God Breakfast – 9AM | $20

The One Nation Under God project was created by the National Exchange Club in 1964, specifically to build a greater respect for the Pledge of Allegiance. Americanism has been called “The Heart of Exchange” because Exchange champions American ideals, and Exchange Clubs exist only on American soil. Exchange prides itself on its knowledge of American traditions, none less important than honoring the sacred American symbol of Old Glory. The semi-annual breakfast is a time when individuals, organizations and businesses are presented prestigious awards for their outstanding acts of patriotism and contributions to the community as well as their proper and prominent displaying of the American flag. Naperville Plays – 1PM | $8-12
Naper Settlement – 523 S. Webster St. Naperville, IL 60540
Families will quadruple their fun at Naper Settlement with activities, crafts, and storytelling, on the theme of “five senses”. Naperville Plays is provided in partnership with the DuPage Children’s Museum, Naper Settlement, Knoch Knolls Nature Center and the Naperville Public Library. This event will take place April 15 from 1 to 4PM. The fee is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $8 for youth (ages 4-12). Naper Settlement and DuPage Children’s Museum members receive free admission.

30th Anniversary Concert – The Naperville Men’s Glee Club – 3PM | $7-$18
Pfeiffer Hall – 310 E. Benton Ave. Naperville, IL 60563
The Naperville Men’s Glee Club will celebrate our 30th anniversary with a grand concert at 3PM on April 15 at Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Avenue, on the campus of North Central College. This concert will mark the transition of Bonnie Klee Roberts to Artistic Director. This concert will be directed by assistant director Stephen Steven Schroeder, Jr. General admission tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $12 for students. They may be purchased online and printed at napervillemensgleeclub.org or purchased from any Glee Club member. They may also be ordered by phone at (630) 448-0518 or at the door on April 15 (cash or check only). Discounted tickets for groups of 10 or more can be purchased by calling (630) 448-0518.

Local fishing opportunities provide places to learn patience throughout the year… Fish are easy to catch in the cool waters of springtime, especially in April when fish can be fooled all month.

The Naperville Municipal Band will perform its Spring Concert on at 3PM Sun., April 22, at the Wentz Concert Hall.  Admission to the concert is free of charge.
