Mike BarbourThis year’s featured speaker will be Veteran advocate Mike Barbour. Barbour served in the Army during Vietnam.

After coming home from Vietnam in 1968, Barbour returned to his wife, Jan, who he married just 19 days before his deployment. They did not speak of 1968 for nearly 30 years. In the early 1990s, he was encouraged to join the local VFW, Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, and the healing process began.

For more than two decades, Barbour has been involved in leadership roles with countless area Veteran groups. He is a relentless resource for local Veteran service agencies. Most importantly, through his commitment to see that all Veterans receive the benefits and the help they deserve, Barbour continues his campaign to see no Veteran remains silent or alone.
