NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Due to this morning’s freezing drizzle and icy road conditions in Naperville and surrounding suburbs, garbage pick-up for Wed., Jan. 24, 2018, has been canceled and will be delayed one day.
Residents who have their garbage picked up on Wednesday will now have their garbage picked up on Thursday. All other garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day the remainder of the week. Residents who have their garbage picked up on Friday will have their garbage picked up on Saturday.
While road conditions are improving in the Naperville area, poor road conditions in several communities south of Naperville have resulted in suspension of Waste Management collection equipment that travels to Naperville from the south and southwest suburbs. All curbside recycling will be collected today, but may be slightly delayed.
The City of Naperville’s Public Works department are working to salt all City roadways and will continue until all roadways are salted. In addition, the City’s Winter Operations blog at https://napersnowcommand.wordpress.com will provide updates from the City’s Snow Command when practical. Please drive with extreme caution today and into the evening hours.
