A record setting 822 runners recently participated in the Naperville Half Marathon and Naperville Kids Marathon as charity partners representing the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF) and District 204.
This year’s campaign raised $178,095 and was the most successful fundraising effort in the Foundation’s 29-year history. Team IPEF started in 2014 with 31 runners who raised $32,000. In four years, Team IPEF has raised more than $475,000, helping to provide educational enrichments including teacher grants, Young Hearts for Life, STEM programs and the Annual Fine Arts Festival.
This year, we were excited to have 487 students join Team IPEF as participants in the Kids Marathon. These students ran on behalf of their schools and made a $1 donation for each mile they ran. You can watch their enthusiasm on race day in this video.
On behalf of the IPEF, I’d like to thank all who so generously supported Team IPEF this year as runners, donors, volunteers and Spirit Squad participants.
Sincerely,
Rana Khan, Board Chair
Indian Prairie Educational Foundation.
