Naperville-based 360 Youth Services will honor Indian Prairie School District 204 Superintendent, Dr. Karen Sullivan, with the 2017 Harter Family Distinction of Honor Award at the agency’s Annual Gala on Fri., Nov. 3, 2017.
The Harter Award was established in honor of Tom and Brenda Harter who are long-time supporters and advocates of 360 Youth Services. The annual award recognizes those in the community who passionately support 360, and it honors community leaders who positively contribute to the agency’s ability to change lives and inspire hope in young people.
360 Youth Services will award Dr. Sullivan its highest award for the important role she has played in formalizing a public/private partnership from which 360 staff engage students as an alternative to suspension. Through Dr. Sullivan’s leadership, the school-based counseling program takes place in each of district’s three high schools where 360 staff are on site two days per week. School officials expanded the partnership to include three middle schools this fall. Dr. Sullivan also serves as a member of 360’s Advisory Council as a resource to agency staff and their board.
360 Youth Services will present the award at the agency’s Annual Gala, which is the signature fundraising event for the agency, held this year at Embassy Suites-Naperville. The benefit also features fine dining, a live auction, silent auction tables, live entertainment, raffle prizes and much more.
Tickets are available online at www.360youthservices.org.
