Whether you are a self-proclaimed foodie or just looking for a great bite to eat, this is one event you’ll not want to miss. It’s the WDSRA Food Truck Festival and it’s coming Saturday, September 30, 3-6PM at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion.
The Food Truck Festival is all about food, music and fun. Besides hosting ten of the area’s most popular food trucks, country band Prairie Station will take the stage to perform your favorite country hits. And for the kids, we have them covered too. There will be inflatables to run, jump and slide on as well as face painting and the playground. All of this adds up to one fantastic afternoon of fun.
Last year over 1,000 people joined us. The food was outstanding and the music was high energy making it a perfect way to spend an afternoon. We saw friends, couples and families all enjoying themselves. This year we are encouraging everyone to register ahead of time online. When you register online by September 28 you’ll receive early admission at 2:30PM. This gives you a fast track to your favorite food trucks.
You may be wondering why a food truck event for WDSRA. This is the perfect way to bring the community-based recreation that WDSRA offers in all of our programs to, not just the special needs population, but to everyone in Naperville as well as surrounding communities. It is a thank you to the amazing people who open their hearts to families with special needs every day.
The event takes place Saturday, September 30, 3-6PM at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion, 912 Sindt Ct., Naperville (in back of the Centennial Beach parking lot). The Food Trucks include: Aurelio’s Pizza, Carnivale, Cheesie’s, Cupcakes for Courage, Gnarly Knots, Grumpy Gaucho, Kona Ice, Sweet Ride, Tasty Taco, The Happy Lobster Truck. Admission is $2/person. Food truck cost is at your own expense. This is a wrist band event. Register at www.wdsra.com. Register online by September 28 for early admission at 2:30PM.
