UPDATE Sept. 28, 2017 / Stephanie Colbert, Stephen Hicks and Kevin Colbert are pictured below following a presentation hosted by the Free Enterprise Forum of Naperville in Association with the Bastiat Society.
During the presentation with interactive Q&A among the group of entrepreneurs, guest speaker Stephen Hicks took the discussion way back to the beginning of small populations with a history of the way mankind has lived from the earliest recorded history, always applying their labor—hunting, fishing, gathering, growing, building, producing— to the resources in nature in order to satisfy their needs for consumption and the marketplace.
Hicks also made a case that free markets require good economics, but especially good ethics and philosophy.
The Free Enterprise Forum of Naperville in Association with the Bastiat Society offers opportunities for individuals to come together for enlightening presentations and thought-provoking discussions about the nature and history of economics that date back to the beginning of time.
