Above / Waldo, the famous 30-year-old fellow, hasn’t aged a bit since he entered the local scene five years ago in his striped shirt and black-rimmed specs to help raise awareness for independent businesses. Where will you spot Waldo? For starters, from 11AM to 2PM Sat., July 22 find LIVE Waldo at Naperville Plaza.
Since July 1, that bespectacled young man, clad in the red and white striped shirt and cap, has made his way onto the shelves of local businesses identified as “Indiebound Naperville” by a bright red sign.
From 11AM to 2PM Sat., July 22, folks can look for a real LIVE Waldo in Naperville Plaza, a popular shopping destination located at the corner of Washington St. and Gartner Rd. During the fun search visitors also will find games and prizes as they get to know members of the independent business community.
LIVE Waldo sightings are scheduled at Casey’s Foods, Celidan Florist, Oswald’s Pharmacy and First Community Financial Bank, all members of IndieBound Naperville, a group of independently-owned local businesses.
Organizers at Naperville Plaza welcome visitors to take pictures with LIVE Waldo and tweet to #WaldoNaperville, all with a message of gratitude to shop, dine, bank and entertain locally whenever possible.
Waldo was spotted showing some independents in Knoch Park at Ribfest 2017!
