Throughout Naperville, Head North, East, West and South
Look for the bright red IndieBound Naperville sign and check out Naperville’s independent business community.  All during July, celebrate 30 years of Waldo and search for the bespectacled lad in shops, restaurants, banks and online. Collect 12 chits with the name of participating independents and enter the drawing at Anderson’s Bookshop for a chance to win kid-friendly prizes. Support local independent businesses whenever possible. And teach the youngsters in your life what it means to the local economy when you shop in your hometown. Downtown Naperville shops and restaurants will be taking it to the streets during the popular Summer Sidewalk Sales from Thursday, July 6 through Saturday, July 8. For more info, visit downtownnaperville.com.

Join the cast of Summer Place Theatre in a reboot of the comedy written by Edward Streeter and later turned into two movies, the original starring Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. Follow the hysterical ups and downs of planning a wedding as father of the bride, Mr. Banks, attempts to keep a once small, modest wedding from going completely out of control. A fun for the whole family event, Mini Makers Day exposes children, teens and adults to the history of tradesmen (the original makers) and the art, science, technology and craftiness of the Maker Movement today.
