Downtown Naperville sculpture exhibit is bound to please

-

Downtown Naperville will turn another page to welcome Summer Painted Sculptures Revealed – Book Benches. And Naperville artist MARIANNE LISSON KUHN again is sharing her creativity with downtown’s outdoor summer exhibit. Two of her designs will feature scenes from childhood classics, “The Wizard of Oz,” sponsored by BBM Incorporated; and “Goodnight Moon,” sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. The third sculpture, sponsored by Marquette Companies, depicts historical photos of Naperville hotels that dotted the landscape in the 1800s, including the Pre-Emption House, Scott Hotel, New York House and Washington House.

Fifteen storybook-theme sculptures will be on display Fri., June 16, until mid-September, at various downtown sidewalk locations.

The Classic Car Show returns from 9AM to Noon on Sat., June 17 (weather permitting). Vintage models will be exhibited along Jackson Avenue between Eagle and Main streets.

Father’s Day weekend welcomes visitors to enjoy shopping, dining and other attractions geared to please the entire family.
