Heads up for construction along Ogden Ave. between Royal St. George and Benedetti

-

Above / Culvert wall repair along Ogden Avenue begins week of May 1, 2017. Lane reductions will be in place along Ogden between Royal St. George Drive and Benedetti Drive.

Work by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to replace the culvert wall along Ogden Avenue over Cress Creek is anticipated to begin the week of May 1, 2017,  pending weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Lanes reduced 6:30AM to 5PM weekdays, May 1 likely until June

To accommodate this construction, the curb lane of eastbound Ogden Avenue between Royal St. George and Benedetti drives at the creek will close to traffic between 6:30AM and 5PM Monday through Friday. During this time, motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone. Signage will be posted to direct motorists appropriately. Work is anticipated to be complete in June.

Be prepared for road construction season… Now!

Wolf’s Crossing Road reconfiguration began early April

The first phase of a multi-phase project designed to realign Wolf’s Crossing Road by connecting its two sections currently separated by 95th Street and 248th Avenue began the week of April 3, 2017.

During the first weeks of the project, crews have been extending Wolf’s Crossing Road south from where it currently dead ends at 95th Street to east of the CN Railroad line. Work will occur between 7AM and 7PM. No road closures were necessary.

Upon completion of this extension (likely mid-May), a three-day closure of Wolf’s Crossing Road between the CN Railroad line and 248th Avenue will occur to construct a temporary connection between the new north/south section and the existing east-west section of the roadway.  Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists to use alternative routes such as Heggs Road, Haffenrichter Road or 111th Street. A map of the road closure and detour will be available at www.naperville.il.us/wolfscrossing. Upon completion of the temporary connection, traffic will begin using the new configuration and the section of Wolf’s Crossing Road from the new connection east to 248th Avenue will be closed permanently.

The final stage of the project will occur in late 2017 or 2018 and will include the reconstruction of Wolf’s Crossing Road from the point of the temporary connection to the CN Railroad line. This phase will require a multi-week shut down of Wolf’s Crossing Road from the CN Railroad line to 95th Street.

Later this summer, crews will also begin work to extend Trumpet Avenue to the new configuration of Wolf’s Crossing upon completion of the final phase. As part of the Ashwood Crossing development, scheduled for construction in summer 2017, Trumpet will be extended west so that it intersects Wolf’s Crossing Road.
