Naperville Police Officer involved in fatal crash

Naperville PoliceNAPERVILLE, Ill. —  On Saturday, April 8, 2017, at approximately 6:10PM, a marked squad car driven by an on-duty Naperville Police Officer and a Hyundai Elantra driven by a 73-year-old Naperville resident collided at the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Feldott Lane.

The driver of the Hyundai, Phyllis Davis, was transported to Edward Hospital in Naperville, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The officer, a 26-year veteran of the Naperville Police Department, was also transported, treated and released.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team (DuCART), 630 407-2323.
